ESAE's Communities are dedicated to bringing together Association Executives and providing them with a dedicated space where discussions on topics of interest can occur.

During COVID-19, many Associations saw their teams transition from working in offices to remote teleworking. The convenience and flexibility that came with working from home were appreciated by many, but others also struggled with the distinction between work and life (no "switch off" button) and the lack of social engagement.

Now, with restrictions being lifted throughout Europe, there is a growing consensus that working from home will not return to during the pandemic levels but is expected rather to become more common. And if ever there was a need to consider "team-building" in person, now is probably the time as our colleagues start working together more in-person; with some seeing each other for the first time and others not having seen each other in months. In many ways, it sounds as if teams need to start from scratch to get to know each other again.

Associations need to thoughtfully consider what the future of work looks like for their organization and aim for a workplace that preserves individuality while also offering a feeling of belonging and team spirit.

Join our HR Community on 29 April from 11:00 to 12:00 CET for an insightful session on how to create an effective and engaged workplace as we emerge from the pandemic.
