DESCRIPTION OF THE SESSIONS
Session 1: Innovative Thinking in Association Leadership
Do Association Leaders have what it takes to take their organisations to the next level?
European and International Associations are going through accelerating changes as the landscape rapidly changes, both within their respective industries and because of external factors. Digitalisation, growing risks due to political and environmental crises, inflation and the influx of a new generation in the workplace with different priorities and cultural backgrounds are forcing associations to professionalise fast. The role of Association Leaders is more pivotal than ever, but are we up to the challenge?
Moderator:
Mike Morrissey, CEO, European Cancer Organisation & ESAE President
Speaker:
Carola van der Hoeff, CEO and Congress Director, International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP)
Karine Sbirrazzuoli, Senior Director Knowledge & Innovation Department, UITP - Union Internationale des Transports Publics
Session 2: Innovative Tactics to Engage Members Through Conferences & Events
Often in Associations, we repeat the same operations cycle after cycle, without taking the distance to reflect on whether they hit the mark.
Our Conferences and Events are opportunities for our members and stakeholders to share and produce new knowledge. For many Associations, they are even the financial bloodline that keeps them sustainable. But can we also consider them a way to keep our membership engaged and thriving? At a time when delegates' needs and trends have evolved, what do Associations have to do to keep up with the change, and what is the role of innovation in designing events to keep our communities alive?
Join us for an insightful panel discussion with representatives from different Industries and Association sizes.
Moderator:
Fanny Senez. co-chair of the ESAE Events Management Community of Practice
Speakers:
Frances van Klaveren, Community Engagement Manager, ICCA
Avinash Chandarana, Global Learning and Development Director, MCI Group
These high-level panel discussions are kindly supported by the Amsterdam Convention Bureau and are hosted by RAI Amsterdam.
